Not only our tea plantations are against using chemical substances, they actively introduce more natural farming in order to produce better tea leaves.
Natural farming, natural cultivation, organic farming... The farmers work incredibly hard to nurture their beloved tea in tune with their environment and nature.

In 1999, Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS) introduced a new law – producers cannot advertise their products as organic unless it has been approved by the authority. Therefore, not all our tea bear the label of 'organic'. (Natural farming and cultivation are not restricted in the same way yet) Basically, we are in a trusted partnership with our farmers but if necessary, the plantations can provide various proof of approval by the authority in different farming methods.

日本では、平成11年に JAS 法が改正され、有機認定を受けたのも のだけしか有機農産物・有機栽 培・オーガニックなどの表示がで きなくなりました。 ですので、当店のお茶も、認定を受けた農家 さんのお茶しか、「有機」「オーガニック」と表記する事ができま せん。( 自然農法や自然栽培の 表記は任意です。) 当店のお茶が農 薬を使用していない、化学肥料を使用していないと言えるのは、 基 本的には農家さんとの信頼関係によるものですが、各種認定を受け ている農家さんには記録があ りますので、証明もできます。
